If you’re looking for an easy crochet project for a baby on the way, look no further than these adorable little thumbless mittens.
The countdown is on until baby Anthony makes his debut! We’ve been doing all the last-minute tasks prior to his arrival, including a fun winter maternity photoshoot with my sister. Next on the list was some cute little mittens! To keep his hands warm, but also to prevent him from scratching his little face when his little tiny nails grow.
The mittens were made from Stitch4Ever’s pattern. I learned two new stitches whilst making these mittens – the front post double crochet (fpdc) and the back post double crochet (bpdc), courtesy of Fiber Flux.
These mittens worked up in about 20-30 minutes each. I added a contrasting colour on Round 16. I also added the optional string to keep them together, just by chaining a whole bunch of stitches.
