Long-distance friendships can be difficult to maintain, but there’s something so special when someone cares enough to travel across the country to visit you – even better when you get to partake in a fun camping activity! One of my dearest friends, Stephanie, made the trek before she started her new job.
This called for a trip to Jasper. Despite the fire ban, we rallied, borrowed my sister’s adorable propane firepit, and hit the road. Going camping, climbing a mountain, and going on a girls’ trip were three items on my 27 x 28 list and I was happy to check a few items off during this adventure.
We had the fanciest dinner I have ever cooked while camping and played Heads Up! for hours and hours. I don’t know that we’ve ever laughed so much together – and that’s saying something considering we used to be roommates and would talk to each other endlessly in terribly bad Russian or British accents.
If you’re looking for a fun activity while camping when outdoor activities are limited, I highly recommend purchasing this inexpensive app. The best part is it records the videos, which ensures you’ll be laughing for days to come.
What’s your favourite camping tradition? I would love to hear how you enjoy passing the time.
