Saturday was a good day. I finally got to trek to the mountains and get some use out of my snowboard! I went snowboarding at Lake Louise. 11 hours of total driving time was incredibly worth the 3 hours of snowboarding we got in.
I’m seriously in awe of how majestic the mountains are. This was my first time to Lake Louise, though I’ve been to Jasper twice. It’s truly breathtaking. And despite the crazy weather that Toronto is getting back home, the conditions were perfect. A balmy -4 degrees, my hands were actually warm in my mittens. I can’t say that’s ever happened before. I’m usually an ice cube about an hour in.
I’m by no means a pro-snowboarder, though this picture makes me feel like I am! My white snow pants definitely make me blend into the slopes though.
Overall, snowboarding at Lake Louise was so much fun. I mostly stayed on the easy hills, mainly because there were SO many people. Also, I’m a big baby and didn’t want to take the gondola all the way to the top of the mountain. Next time though, next time!
