Here we go! Without much planned, organized, or the most perfect brand developed, I have officially launched my blog! Why you ask, do you launch a barely started blog? For me, it’s simple. I’ve wanted to start a blog for quite a while now. I’ve even written quite a few first blog posts before in my trusty Evernote, and as I stumbled upon them tonight while writing yet another first blog post, I noticed a trend: wanting to share my creative adventures with the world but being too afraid to do so.
I kept trying to make my blog into a business, maybe then it would have some purpose. But, no more business planning will keep me at bay. This isn’t a business. Not for me, not yet, at least. It was never my original desire. If it turns into something awesome down the road, amazing! If not, I’m perfectly happy with just a blog.
A common thought in my life is that I need to be doing something awesome. Or that I just can’t wait for my life to start — when I have a relationship, when I get married when I finally have babies. After hearing a pretty powerful message tonight at a new church I started going to, on the power of our words and how our words affect our actions, I’ve decided that no longer will I tell myself that “life” hasn’t started yet. No longer will I let these years pass me by. I have decided to change my words. To tell myself that this season of my life is important. And it’s going to be awesome.
So, this is my motivation to get out and do things. To stretch myself. To explore the world. To try new things. To set some goals. To make the most of these years. And to document it all along the way.
So hi, internet world! You intrigue me. I can’t wait to connect with so many of you!
