As we kick off 2022, I’m not one to typically set New Year’s resolutions, especially because I have my annual birthday bucket list. But this year, I wanted to take advantage of the fresh start and I’m feeling particularly energized and inspired. So instead of a resolution, we’re setting an intention for this upcoming year in the form of a yearly theme word.
I’ve been toying with the idea of picking a word to guide my year again. I picked one back in 2018 and even tattooed it on my wrist (a little intense, I know). That year, there was so much growth and intention. I was empowered by my word, choose.
There are a few words at the top of my list. I’ve spent the last seven days trying to decide which one feels the best. I knew this year I wanted to focus on growing my YouTube channel, and spending more time being creative, whether it’s making crafts, writing on my blog, or designing paper products. When I look at what prevented me from doing these things in 2021, there were a lot of rollercoaster moments that derailed a lot of my good intentions. It’s also largely due to bad habits and a lack of discipline.
Ultimately, I keep coming back to wanting to create more.
Create better habits.
Create effective plans.
Create more growth.
Create more art.
And so, that’s what we’re going to do in 2022. We’re going to exercise our creativity, commit to creating better habits, and work on growing our blog and YouTube channel by creating valuable content for you.
Do you choose a guiding word for your year? If so, I’d love to hear what you’ve chosen as your yearly theme word this year in the comments, please share!
