Long distance friendships can be difficult to maintain, but there’s something so special when someone cares enough to travel across the country to visit you. One of my dearest friends, Stephanie, made the trek before she started her new job.
This called for a trip into Jasper. Despite the fire ban, we rallied, borrowed my sister’s adorable propane firepit and hit the road. Going camping, climbing a mountain, and going on a girls trip were three items on my 27 x 28 list and I was happy to check a few items off during this adventure.
We had the fanciest dinner I have ever cooked while camping and played Heads Up! for hours and hours. I don’t know that we’ve ever laughed so much together – and that’s saying something considering we used to be roommates and would talk to each other endlessly in terribly bad Russian or British accents. If you’re looking for a fun activity while camping when outdoor activities are limited, I highly recommend purchasing this inexpensive app. The best part is it records the videos, which ensures you’ll be laughing for days to come.
What’s your favourite camping tradition? I would love to hear how you enjoy passing the time.
